About the artists
Luca Stricagnoli, born and raised in Italy, is an acoustic guitarist known for his unique style and innovative playing techniques. His original approach to music has led him to a variety of successes from obtaining over 100 million views on his music videos to having the opportunity to perform all around the globe. His debut single received over 14 million hits on YouTube and Facebook in just a couple of weeks, an especially impressive feat for an instrumental music video. Using up to five guitars in the same piece, modified capos and self-conceived stratagems, Luca continually leaves his audiences in awe and wondering what’s next for the up-and-coming guitarist. In addition to his musical abilities, Luca brings an enthusiastic energy to the stage that attracts concert requests from every corner of the world.
Antoine Boyer is the first Gypsy jazz guitarist to receive the highly-prized “Revelation” award from Guitarist Acoustic. He is the 2015 winner of the Montigny Classical Guitar Competition and has been named the “Classical Guitar Revelation 2016” by Classical Guitar magazine. Boyer and Samuelito won the 4th European Guitar Award in Dresden in 2016. In addition to the Audience Award, they received an award including several concerts and the opportunity to record their Coincidence album with the Doctor Heart Music label, distributed in France by Harmonia Mundi.
Samuel Rouesnel (Samuelito) started classical guitar at seven at the Conservatoire de Caen in Normandy. He was soon fascinated by world music and particularly flamenco. He followed a dual classical and flamenco guitar path, which led him to meet many great performers and made him a very eclectic musician. His first concert took place on the day of his 16th birthday on the national stage of Caen, broadcasted by French Television. Deeply attached to the flamenco tradition, both as an interpreter and composer, this young guitarist plays a very personal music.
Cent Erdogan was born in Istanbul in 1979. In 1997 he won a four-year scholarship at Istanbul Bilgi University Music to study composition (Composition). In 2008 he recorded his first album and composed and arranged the soundtrack for the movie “Issız Adam,” for which he won the Yesilcam Soundtrack of the Year prize. In 2014, he created the educational website www.fretlessguitarlessons.com. In 2014, he released another album, “KaraKutu,” a solo work featuring fretted and fretless guitars. He works as a producer, composer and arranger for television and film soundtracks, and tours frequently with his trio.
